H. E. Governor Amos Kimwomi Nyaribo today presided over the signing of performance contracts by County Executive Committee Members in a ceremony that was held at the Nyamira Headquarters.
In his address, the Governor cautioned the CECMs to meet the targets set in the Performance Contract, noting that at the end of the year, they will be appraised based on their delivery.
"I caution you to treat the Performance Contract with the seriousness it deserves because I will follow the results and at the end of the year, you will be gauged on how effectively you delivered on your commitments" he said.
The County CEO, also urged the Members of the Cabinet to ensure that they align all departmental activities to his development agenda that is anchored on three pillars namely; Good Governance and Accountability; Inclusivity and Wealth and Job Creation.
He further noted that,the contracts that were signed are a demonstration of the commitment by departments to meet the high standards of service delivery demanded by the great people of Nyamira County.
In the event attended by Deputy Governor Dr James Gesami and County Commissioner Onesmus Kyatha, the Governor warned County staff against lateness and absenteeism.
He said anyone who violates staff rules will be dealt with.
The Governor directed Chief Officers to immediately sign their performance contracts and cascade to other cadres.
The Performance Contracts will guide the implementation of policies, programs and activities in the individual departments,which will form the basis for assessing their performance and quality in service delivery in line with the provisions of the Constitution.
The targets on the Performance Contracts were negotiated and vetted by Governor's office and the Department of Public Service Management.
