Strengthening Security Through National–County Collaboration.

Enhanced security requires cemented collaboration between the National Government and County Governments. Security is the backbone of stability, and stability provides the foundation upon which the economy thrives, investments grow, and communities prosper.

Today, Nyamira County Governor H.E. Amos Nyaribo received the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, in his office during a courtesy call. The Cabinet Secretary was on a working tour of Nyamira County where he presided over the Jukwaa La Usalama engagement forum. The session brought together leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on strategies to bolster peace, safety, and order within the county and beyond.

In attendance were Hon. Joash Nyamoko, Member of Parliament for North Mugirango; Hon. Jerusha Momanyi, County Woman Representative; Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Masengeli; County Commissioner Mr. Anthony Erustas Orina; Transport, Roads and Infrastructure CECM Mr. Maina, among other senior officials and community leaders.

Governor Nyaribo reaffirmed Nyamira County’s commitment to work hand in hand with State agencies and security organs to ensure the safety and security of residents. Such collaboration is crucial to creating an environment where citizens feel protected, businesses flourish, and sustainable development is achieved.

Speaking during the engagement, Governor Nyaribo emphasized:
“Security is not just about law enforcement, it is about guaranteeing opportunity, stability, and prosperity for our people. Together with the National Government, we are determined to build a stronger, safer, and more secure Kenya for every citizen.”
